New survey by Barna Research shows alarming rise in
number of people dubbed as “Bible skeptics.”
Bible skeptics consider the Bible to be teachings of men, rather than the Word of God,
according to one source.
According to the American Bible Society’s recent poll, the number of people said to be “Bible engaged” now equals
the percentage of people who do not believe the Bible is sacred.
Both groups are now reported to sit at 19 percent.
The percentage of “Bible skeptics” is up from 10 percent in 2011.
Apparently, the trend is most pronounced among millennials, who range in age from 18 to 29.
