Samaritan House Family Shelter
Catholic Charities' 6-month extended stay shelter for single-parent families experiencing homelessness. Call to enter the daily lottery for available spots.
STAR Transitional Program
Denver Rescue Mission's transitional housing for up to 90 homeless families. Includes case management, life-skills workshops, and counseling. In-person intake Mon–Fri, 10–11 AM.
The Gathering Place
Daytime drop-in center for women, children, and transgender individuals experiencing poverty or homelessness. Services include food, clothing, case management, and housing assistance.
TRUA Rental Assistance
Denver's Temporary Rental and Utility Assistance program providing up to 6 months of help for households earning below 80% AMI. Call 311 and press #6 to apply.
VOA Mission Community Center
Volunteers of America daytime shelter providing food, clothing, job training, employment assistance, and referrals. Open Mon–Fri, 8 AM – 5 PM.
Second Chance Center
Reentry support for formerly incarcerated men and women: mentoring, addictions counseling, support groups, employment services (resume help, interview prep, clothing), emergency housing connections, and pre-release/parole plan development.
Servicios de La Raza — Reentry for Adult Parolees
Comprehensive reentry services for adult parolees: crime prevention, crisis intervention, education and employment assistance, family education, housing, identification acquisition (ID, birth certificate), in-house flagger and forklift training, job-training cost assistance, medical benefits, monthly support groups, peer mentorship, substance misuse support and individual therapy, transportation, and work needs.

CrossPurpose
A preferred ChannelMom partner — we refer graduates to one another. CrossPurpose's free "Leader" program combines personal-growth coaching (mock interviews, résumé workshops) with professional training, certifications, job placement, and ongoing mentorship. It spans seven career tracks — skilled trades (electrical, HVAC), allied healthcare, culinary, CDL/transportation, clerical, sales, and IT — moving neighbors out of poverty and into living-wage careers. 1,536+ graduates and counting.
