When You Lift Up Moms, You Lift Up Children

Josephina was living on the streets by the age of 14, with little hope for her future. 

In the haze of drug addiction and homelessness, she gave birth to two baby boys. Street life led to crime and incarceration and the wrenching loss of custody of her two sons. When Josephina took ChannelMom's Forever Moms prison classes, her life changed. After prison, she was assigned a ChannelMom mentor and received assistance from our Compassion Fund for Single Moms. 

She now resides at a Christian sober living home, works a full-time job (recently named Employee of the Month) and has registered for college to become a counselor and help restore other incarcerated moms!

Josephina sees her boys often and even purchased her eldest son’s new school clothes. 

This redeemed mama hopes to regain custody of her sons one day very soon.
